Barn Swallows rescued!

These barn swallows were rescued by Mack, a caring Coast Guardsman who noticed the nest on his ship just prior to heading out to sea from the port of Baltimore.  Knowing that the parents would not be able to follow and continue caring for the nestlings, this young man brought them in to be raised by the rehabber until they could survive on their own.

This is what the nest looked like when Mack brought it in.
